Treasurer
Gino was born in Montallegro, Provincia di Agrigento, Sicilia, and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1954. He is a graduate of the University of Windsor where he received his B.A. from the Faculty of Social Science and is a retiree of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
A Caboto Member since 2008, he was first elected to the Board in 2011. Since that time, Gino was the editor of the Canadian bestseller cookbook, ‘Cooking With Giovanni Caboto’. He has served as Chairman of the Arts & Culture/Members Events Committee, member and serving on the Finance, Sports, Newsletter, Calendar, Public Relations, Caboto Trips, Regional Dinners and Co-Chair on our upcoming 100th Anniversary Committee. Prior to his present position as Treasurer, Gino has served as Vice President for 4 years and President for 4 years.
